Man, This is great I just finished reading the fifth manga and I was say they really need to make this into an anime. Well got my wish this is great news. Hope maybe madhouse or jc staff will animate

No one knows yet, but I hope Madhouse (Black Lagoon, Hellsing OVA, Claymore, Kaiji, Needless etc.), Bones (Darker than Black, Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater) or AIC Spirits (Garei Zero, Tokyo Majin; these two anime series got some quite similar character designs as the ones in the Highschool of the Dead manga if you ask me). |

OMG, I've been reading this manga ever since and I was dying to find out when the next chapter/vol would come out.... I get two BIGGG NEWSSS OMG.... This thing better be adapted by a good studio.... hmmm.. let me see... BONES would be ok. Manglobe ok. DEEN would be my #1 pick though. Voice actors gotta be picked carefully too.... Ohhh MAN I kant wait.... please let it come out this spring. PLZZZ

That image sums up High School of the Dead perfectly. It's primarily about fanservice. The zombies are more of an afterthought.
Or to use another analogy, it's like someone took a copy of The Walking Dead, tore out all the pages and used it to hide their collection of porn. |

I'm estastic that the manga is continuing.
The anime on the other hand I'm much more weary about. This could be very epic if done by Madhouse. It's too dark for Bones and alot of other studios so I think Madhouse is a safe bet. I would have preferred an OVA format though for quality reasons. |
