I loved her work on Yotsuba and Azumanga Daioh. I have friends who are fans of her other work, she was a great translator. My sincerest condolences to her friends and family.

It is certainly a name I recognise, which I can't say for many translators, and she's done a lot of good work.
33 is way too young especially considering I am 31 myself this month. I can't help wondering if it was natural causes or some sort of accident.

Wow, she was so young, rest in peace Amy. I've seen D'Eon and read the Chrono Crusade manga and thought that the time period parts were translated very well (and thought those would make it even more difficult). My condolences to her family.

well, damn, that's way too young to pass on -- only three years older than I am. you have to wonder why someone that young passes away, tho. my condolences to her friends and family, tho, it's never easy to lose someone close to you.

Same here! I remember reading her name as translator for Yotsuba. I thought, oh cool we have the same first name. Man this is really sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. I wonder if these companies have any spare translators...

Though I started out with the ADV versions of Azumanga and Yotsuba&!, I have to say I like the Yen Press versions better, translation-wise. Not to be insensitive or anything.
My condolences to the family. 33 is a young age to die, and though it may sound wrong, I'm also curious as to why.

I'm another who appreciated & will miss Amy's fine work. Translators are often unsung heroes and she made the lives of so many fans happier. My condolences to her family and friends, it is always a tragedy to lose someone close.
