Last night I saw a review of the Street Fighter Chun Li movie. This looks to be more of the same, a film where the characters and story are barely recognizable. Though maybe I should say it's sounding more like Constantine. where they Americanized it and cast Keanu Reeves. Though it'd be worse, like if they took out the angel plots from that and make it another generic vampire movie.
Then again, it's not just Hollywood. It's TokyoPop. Not only are they partly producing the movie, they're also whoring out by releasing a comic book based on the movie. You know, instead of just selling the original comic book the film is supposed to be based on, they felt they needed to create a whole new one based on the film. That can't be a good sign.
