High-quality English dubbed episodes? That's a laugh. I certainly won't be a part of their social networking site. I don't support Funimation dictators or their trash dubs.

Really happy with the Black Butler casting. Tatum and Palencia had amazing chemistry together in Spice & Wolf, they were the perfect choice for Sebastian and Ciel...

I'll probably join...at some point!

The anime juggernaut Funimation flexes its muscles yet again...

They should have made a dream dub out of these shows, it would be money for them. I like Funimation overall but they get some Californians and Canadians to do this, they too need support. Plus don't tell how the Union works too because I'm sick and tired of excuses.

Call me a Spelling Nazi or whatever, but this is still bothersome to see.

Good to finally see a cast listing for Phantom though; haven't heard of either of the lead VAs either, so this should be interesting.

It's a hard life, I know, living under the fascist Funimation regime.

Some days the bread lines are so long we don't get any food until sundown, and that's when the marauders come out.

Supreme Lord Heiskell announced even further sanctions against the city's poor, offering only original Dragonball episodes to anyone working below the third tier.

What we need is a revolution... but all hope is lost.

I guess if said Canadians and Californians can get to Dallas-Fort Worth area and be available in that any time on the off chance they need them on a drop of a hat. Then, yeah, they can be hired, too.

I personally love their English dubs, they are consistently good in my opinion.

Anime hyper You, sir, have made my day!

I had a feeling Tatum would get Sebastian; sounds like a good match to me. I didn't really like Palencia in Spice and Wolf, but I think it was mostly because she sounded kind of stiff-cocky whereas I think Holo is more fun-cocky (pardon my made-up adjectives =P), and stiff-cocky works perfectly for Ciel so I can see her doing a nice job with him.

I started watching Phantom when it first aired, I'm going to have to pick that one up again.

I don't really get what everyone is complaining about here. I'm just happy that they are (finally) releasing Phantom and Oh! Edo Rocket. Plus, I remember very clearly when they first announced Black Butler, there were a lot of fans hoping that J. Michael Tatum would get the part of Sebastian. It looks like Funimation paid attention to that. So,...... YAY!!!

I'll be buying ALL these shows.

I also will become a premium subscriber to their streaming site when that gets going too.

I've already commented on Ciel's VA, so moving on...

I am so glad FUNimation is finally updating their website. The current design is so tedious (and hideous), it distracts visitors (well at least me) from finding what they want. Hopefully, they'll ditch those ridiculous ads in the new revision.

As for the prepaid cards, a little iffy on this one without the "fine print" such as how much per day holders lose if the cards aren't in use.

However, the benefit of these could be tremendous, like "Yo! Thank you for your purchase of Big Windup Season 2. As a valued customer, enclosed is a $10 pre-paid card you can use towards your next purchase of one of our valued products. Thank you, valued customer for your business. Please let us know if there's any way we can serve you better."

It's nice to see some companies are actually still trying to find ways to get customers to buy rather than put the blame elsewhere.

Kudos, FUNi. Now, about that $80 price point for new release two part sets... is there a way to fix this?

I'm a bit baffled as to how the guy who voiced "Panties" can also be voicing Zwei.

I am quite happy to have news of Phantom though. It places second on my list of Bee Train assassin/gunslinging shows (Noir, Phantom, Madlax, El Cazador), so I'm quite anxious to own it.

A lot of game retailers, online mostly, offer online coupon codes/promotional credits/no hassle rebate/whatever you want to call it for an X amount of credit towards a future purchase and it is such a great incentive. If Funimation offered something similar to this, it would start an effect something like this:

Step one - Buy Part 1 of anime series
Step two - Receive X amount in bonus credit via some medium (online coupon code, pre-paid debit card)
Step three - Use that credit to buy Part 2 of anime series
Step four - Receive X amount in bonus credit
Step five - Repeat Steps one through four

It has been pretty what I have been doing these past few months when buying games. Use my saved up promotional credit to buy games that offer promotional credit towards a future purchase. Now if Funimation started offering this ...

I, too, can't understand why the point system was never adapted here. It's really weird to watch anime talking about anime and Konota bugs Kagami to remember getting her points for her.
Razz

Even still, I'll gladly accept the gift card option to make up for it.
