I personally think, even though Del Rey has Negima, that Tokyopop needs this more. Tokyopop is in hot water right now and needs something to get them back on their feet. Plus, what's the use in having all of Love Hina from Tokyopop, then have the one-shot story from Del Rey? Just sayin...

Except Tokyopop lost all their Kodansha licenses, and it's unlikely Kodansha would allow them to get this. Also from what I heard, Love Hina's translation by today's standards isn't very good. And besides, Tokyopop licensed Hetalia, which is popular and could get sales for them despite the translation being possibly dodgy. Ah, nuts. I was hoping for a little Shinobu love, mostly since spoiler[teenage Shinobu pretty much becomes Naru's successor of sorts at the end].
Otherwise, I hope it just remains a one-shot deal. The manga ended beautifully, and you can't really go back and add more to the story. |

Not exactly. The article only said it would "feature" Keitaro and Naru. It never said "only Keitaro and Naru". Its still possible that the other characters could make a brief appearance or something. But I guess we wont know for sure until its released. |

This 9 years after the manga ended with a good closure, there will be a one-shot released? I bet it'll turn out to be something random and filler-ish, but still... Though, I bought all volumes and read them, I wasn't really feeling this series. I'll check out the one-shot, but I don't expect much, tbh. |

Since LH was the first manga I ever read, I have some fond feelings about it.
Although the ending was fine, a simple one-off story couldn't be that bad. It would be interesting to see a couple nine years after their happy ending. You don't exactly see that very much in anime or manga. |

Negima has just had it's 300th chapter so their celebrating it by releasing a Love hina chapter. |

Personally, I'd like to see a part 2 of the series. The ending was good, but it left me wanting more and I think if done right it could be a good continuation.
Either way someone really needs to re-license this series if nothing else. I need a new set. |
