From what I've read. He had too many projects on his plate and it was affecting his health, so he put Black Lagoon on hold until his plate was cleared.

WTF's the deal with so many mangaka having health problems? Do Japanese people really have such weak constitutions?

Yeah, a curious amount of authors seem to develop health problems. Or maybe they chose it as a profession because it's one way to make a living if you already have a weak constitution.

It's more that many of them work crazy-long hours. I mean, *stupid* hours. The One-Piece mangaka said he sleeps from 2AM-5AM. I dunno if Hiroe is as crazy as that, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

a good while for the source material to get created by the author in the first place. Lets let the author create the hit in his own time frame.
this way we as fans get to enjoy it more.
