Bothering to remember one more thing, years ago, I once went into a video store (now gone) that had pre-viewed tapes for sale, and amongst the pile of kid vid cassettes on a wall, I could've swore I saw one that said "Treasure Island" on it, and featured several animal characters on the box including the rabbit that played the Jim Hawkins character in "Shin Takarajima". I recall the tape was released by a company called "Congress Video Group", whom mostly released a lot of "Public Domain" and limited appeal-type fare, though I never did buy that tape and I kick myself in the ass for that thinking about it now (since they probably sourced theirs from the same 16mm rental print the C/FO screened way back). At least I'm giving you guys leads in case this is ever found.

In Japan, a DVD box was released featuring the theatrical 60's movies released for Tetsuwan Atom and Jungle Tatei which included Shin Takarajima as well.

Going further into insanity, I came across finding this poster to a Korean copycat production of sorts that colorizes the film for who knows what (god the things I bother sticking my nose into in the name of obscurity)...

Aside from someone mentioning Mike didn't get in a mention of Nobody's Boy Remi in his article, the thought of that show getting on "The HUB" just came to my mind, and how I want that to happen! Too bad there wasn't a dub for that show though.
