All I can say is yeah now I'll actually get to finish watching Oreimo as how wich held such promise for me and now I have something to replace Squid Girl (it was a disappointment) on my Saturday afternoon viewing. Hopefully everything will work out this time.

I had a feeling something was up when the refunds never happened. I knew you guys wouldn't keep our money without good reason. Glad everything worked out, looking forward to finally being able to start Oreimon!

Thanks for your support. We were just waiting to get everything sorted out to give people the option. As you know (because you got the refund instructions), the refunds are now ready to be issued.

We really would have liked of have shared more info, sooner. After all, the other half of this company, which has been my focus for a decade, is dedicated to delivering information in a timely manner. But we really couldn't say anything at all while things were still being discussed.

We're really happy to be able to make this announcement today. It could have taken much longer, or it might never have materialized. But everyone at ANN and Aniplex of America worked very hard to make this happen.

Glad to hear this worked out well in the end.

Also glad to know that the anime companies are sort of giving the best possible response. This 'sort of' feels like a blow towards the deceptive practices of acquiring anime, that even if **** goes down, things will turn out for the best in the end. Just speaking my mind, not wanting to start a ****storm.

And since it's back up and running, after my next paycheck (and the first or second day off I get) I'm gonna buy a subscription for OreImo, I promise that.

I'm surprised ANN got the Japanese execs to calm down so soon.

Yay! I was hoping they'd come back. Took a bit of time, but it could have been much worse I suppose (they could have not come back at all).

Here's hoping for a much smoother run this time.

Soon? ANN lost four weeks of simulcasts. Most of its former subscribers probably turned to bt to watch their shows.

Four episodes is a THIRD of the season. Seriously, this took forever....

Actually, it's about one seventh of the season. Oreimo specifically may be 12 or 13 episodes, I don't know, but a month isn't long.

Um, did you fail math? There are three fours in a twelve.

Here is a pictoral representation

Code:
....   ....   ....

Or in Oreimo's case:
Code:
.       ...   ....

I'm available to explain math at conventions, pm me for details. Very Happy

In the United States, most regular television series have 20 to 26 episodes per season.

Similarly, an anime series with a full-season run in Japan averages 24-26 episodes.

But....

OreImo is a niche show. Its probably no longer than one of these shorter seasons. That's pretty normal these days.

My argument does not pertain to Oreimo's length. Kyaa's original assertion was that ANN had lost one third of the season (a statement not specific to Oreimo), which isn't true.

Hopefully ANN has better security this time. This happened a lot quicker than I thought it would.

Yes, it is true. Japanese anime seasons do not equal American television seasons. The anime season that Oreimo started (the Fall season) in is October through December. By not starting until November, they've missed the first third of it.
