Hey I noticed Bamboo did the Chris Beverige interview. I have mixed feelings on this. First, she did a good job.
However, I would like to see Shelf Life more often, either with her, (or if this is a sign of her going onto bigger and better things) someone else. Ironically, I'll probaby end up over reading more of Chris' work.

All the best,

Nani?

Not a chance. Sunday Spotlight is a project that involves many of the ANN crew, and while it's a big project that demands a lot of time and attention, Shelf Life is, and will forever be, my #1 (and favorite) project.

I'm so glad to see an interview with Aaron Dismuke. His soft and innocent performance as Al is a large part of the reason that I love the character so much. The bowl thing, though I knew already, is a great piece of trivia. Smile Apparently, it was instructions sent straight from Japan, and it was the same kind of bowl the Japanese seiyuu used. (secondhand from a VA panel and Travis Willingham.)

Thanks, you guys!

I remember reading the FMA article in Newtype USA (Vol. 3-11, Nov 2004) that the production crew has a ton of outtakes of Aaron hitting the bowl during the recording session. I also recall reading that Vic Mignogna (the dub voice of Ed Elric, and one of my favorite VAs) was moved to tears after hearing one of Aaron's tender performances before he went ahead to record his session.

The future is definitely bright for this young man. Cool

Chris is, and has always been, a fun guy. He's a bit shy in person, but once you get him yapping on something he likes, he can be quite the animated fellow.

Bad news for the ragnarok manga reader, it seem that Mr Lee has no intention of continuing the series even though he made the excuse that if he has more time. Just seem to me he lost that desire since his online game has become overwhelmingly popular, why go back to doing the dirty work.

There are currently at least a total of 17 voumes released in Korea. Tokyopop has only released 10 of them stateside. There should be at least 7 more volumes coming our way (at some point). We should be able to at least look forward to that.

And where did you get information that there was 17 volume in korea. It's still listed at 10 in the manga coparison chart over at AoD and I haven't' heard any news beyond volume 10.

Still waiting for answer.

Biliano, Vic is one of my fav. VAs too! how cool!
I also really love Aaron as Alphonse. His voice is just so perfect for that role. I love listening to him and Vic do FMA.

You know what? That would be a great suggestion for a future interview. Wink Since they did Aaron, it would be cool to have one with the other half of the Elric team - Vic Mignogna. Cool I would love to read how he got started in this crazy business. Someday, when I'm able to go to conventions, I would like to meet him - Aaron, too. Laughing

Vic Mignogna was at Kamikaze con in Houston. I didn't go though. I really regret it 'cause my best friend went, and he stood RIGHT next to vic while they were watching Full Metal Panic Fomoffu?!
I woulda killed for that! Bwaaa!

Vic was also at this year's Ohayocon down in Columbus, which is only a 2-hour drive from where I live. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go for "personal" reasons. Crying or Very sad Hopefully he will return next year; they already announced that some guests that were there this year will return for Ohayocon 6.
