You should still read it. It's really good.

Fullmetal Alchemist is my favorite series but it's so hard for me to keep up with series online (especially weeklies) which is the only reason I have not read it.

Hoping the series will get licensed here but the anime will hold me off until then. Hope it is a good adaption.

Sweet. Looking forward to the anime. Hope they get a good studio to do it.

I, for one, really hope it's not Studio Bones Confused I haven't liked anything by them after Scrapped Princess, I think. I'm hoping for Production I.G, A-1 Pictures, Brain's Base (yeah right) or J.C.Staff (provided they dedicate enough money to it).

Does that mean the manga is somehow near its ending or something like that? I mean Fullmetal Alchemist had two anime adaptations.

Probably not soon, but I do get the vibe that it won't be a long series given how the story arcs are divided up. Anime probably won't cover much though unless it ends up in a daytime slot which could happen since this is Arawaka we're talking about.

Its a weekly comic from Shonen Sunday so that will allow it to run for a lot longer than say the first FMA anime which ran out of material half way through the Greed arc. Usually a hit shonen manga will get an anime adaptation around volume 7 and Silver Spoon is around volume 6 so its not that early.

I hope Shou Aikawa writes and Seiji Mizushima directs.

Because Silver Spoon really could use Thule mystics and cyborgs to keep it from inducing comas in the audience.

Silver Spoon has its story arcs divided by season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter).

Currently the manga is set during Autumn, so TPTB could stop the anime just before the manga begins its Winter arc.

Or maybe wait a bit until they can also adapt the Winter arc to get 1 full year of school.

If Shou Aikawa was writing than the whole show would be nothing but characters talking about how much cheese from Wisconsin sucks.

As much as I like Arakawa's writing I don't know if I can feel excited about this one. I haven't read the manga, but the premise sounds a bit stale. An agricultural college? It doesn't sound too exciting. Anyone have anything they can compare this series to so I gauge whether I'll like it?

Still more exciting than the source material.
