Alright, despite being a shorter month, February was a bit more expensive than January, but still very much within the realm of reason.

Manga - $253.90
Anime - $119.98
Figures - $96.55
Misc - $49.40

February Total - $519.83

This is actually comparable to what I spent in February last year, but the main difference is this year was a lot more manga heavy, and much lighter on the figures. With me only preordering one figure a month, this stands to be a reasonable strategy that should help keep my budget under control. I may have to start throttling back on the manga though, that's starting to get to where I can't even keep up. Having an anime backlog is bad enough, I don't need to get an insurmountable manga one too!

I am absolutely delighted with my March total... a staggering $73.42 CAD. That was $52.49 for my Anime North weekend pass and $21.18 for my ANN subscription. I can't remember the last time I had a monthly total that was less than three digits. CAN WE BE WITNESSING A RETURN TO FISCAL SANITY???

I just about weakened during the recent TRSI Nozomi sale, but held off.

This has very likely been a costly month for me. Let's see...

Sound of the Sky DVD set = $35.75
Kimi ni Todoke Premium Collection Sets = $155.97
Is This a Zombie DVD set/ Night Raid 1931 DVD set = $6.47 (used gift cards to cover most of cost)
Uta Kata = $29.03
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 = $38.99
Hyakko = $26.99
Heaven's Memo Pad = $37.40
Speed Grapher Viridian Collection set = $11.25
Hand Maid May Volume 1 = $11.97
A Wind Named Amnesia = $11.96
B Gata H Kei: Yamada's First Time Blu-Ray/ DVD set = $11.52 (used gift card to reduce cost of it)

March 2013 Total: $377.40

YTD Total: $803.03

Bleh. Guess I got quite carried away this month, especially with the Kimi ni Todoke stuff. Some of the spending for the month came from me having to replace a couple parts of my collection due to disc issues or not bothering to check the case to make sure the right freakin' disc is in it. Considering I don't plan on buying anything else this week for anime, April should hopefully be less draining on my wallet.

Succeeded in my goal of not spending too much, in part thanks to Dark Horse delaying the Trigun Maximum omnibuses.

Manga: $25.32
VN: $16.43
March Total: $41.75

YTD Total: $714.28

Assuming my remaining figure preorders stay in May(and I successfully resist that damn tempting Yuno ring a second time), April should be light as well(so far it's just the one figure I stalled on paying for).

My March total: $206.48, about half what I spent in February ($418.54), but more than 4x my March 2012 expenses ($47.99, one purchase). My year-to-date total is $691.96, compared to $445.15 at this point in 2012.

So far, I'm still spending more when I want to cut back, but I should be able to make up some ground this quarter. Last year I spent $1,734.41 from April through June. So far, I have $360.88 worth of anime on order for the same time span. Unless another one of the new releases I want hits, that total won't change because I'm keeping my wallet closed.

Impulse buys are what added up this month, specifically the Viz artbooks for Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away. For anime, I picked up Blue Submarine No. 6 because it's out of print, and the Geneon singles of Daphne in the Brilliant Blue, because I like person who composed its soundtrack. I really need to crack down on the impulse purchases. Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

What is Trigun Maximum? Is it a new series of the old one re-released?

Or is it a new manga series (I don't 'do' manga)?

The magazine Trigun originally ran in folded. Like most series, it got a name tweak when it was picked back up.

Pretty busy month for me:

Manga: £179.43
Manhwa: £26.95
Anime: £59.30

for a grand total of £265.68. Some fairly big purchases were made, including a complete boxset of Azumanga Daioh from someone on another forum and buying all 3 volumes of Vertical's rerelease of Paradise Kiss.

Is it expensive goods of anime?
Might be not be helped considering the shipping fee.
I'm a personal buyer, certainly, worrying about the price Sad

Thanks, I actually bought the re-issued Trigun anime series on DVD last month. I saw the Badlands Rumble movie on TV last summer before i got sent on this all expenses paid tour of the desert. I liked it, and decided to get the series. Disc 1 has an issue though, I'm probably going to get it exchanged. Shouldn't be a problem with amazon.

I got the Badlands movie too and finally bought Ouran High School. The price finally stabilized with a re-issue. While that's little too much yaoi for me, it did have several really funny segments.

I also bought Hetalia season 4

Anime Total ~ $100
no figures, no manga.

And that'll probably be it until i get back home. Accumulating too much Stuff here...

Well, this looks like a fun thread to join in on. Can kind of keep track of what’s coming in and what’s coming out. Also I get to take a look and see other peoples spending habits. It’s kind of hard to keep track of specific things for when I go to cons because I will give myself a “con budget” and I go hog wild with that pot of cash. That normally included ticket, hotel, gas, food, and anything else I wish to buy while I am there. I will try and keep track of those things more accurately in the future though.

But to start off with I came up with my last month, and so far year to date.

March:
Anime - $57.82
Manga - $52.42
Figures - $65
Conventions – $135
Total – 310.24

Year to Date
Anime - $820.53
Manga - $180.36
Figures - $104.99
Cons - $398.10
Total - $1503.98

April already took a big bite out of my monthly budget when I picked up both the Bake and Nese LE’s. but as of right now I don’t have anything else anticipated to come out of April.
