Someone once told me that Canada grew most of the world's mustard and that the majority of it was sold to China.

Hmm... Chinese mustard and polar bear jerky. We may have a replacement for hot wings.

An increase in a country's productivity usually will result in a stronger currency. You will just have to work harder (and get everyone in the country to work harder as well).

Work harder?

Ummmm, you really don't understand much about Canada and Canadians, do you? WE'RE A SOCIALIST PARADISE - WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK HARD!!!

Well, I suppose I'll post my monthly spending for the first month of this new year.

Lupin III: Legend of the Gold of Babylon VHS = $26.98
Book of Bantorra DVD sets = $41.88
Guilty Crown Sets = $64.18
Ping Pong Club Singles DVDs = $31.11
Blood C Complete Series with LE Box = $30.92
Gokudo Complete Series Set = $42.00
Kamisama Kiss Blu-Ray/ DVD combo set = $36.48

January Total: $273.55

Total from January 2013: $228.86

Slightly more than when I splurged around this time last year. Granted, there isn't as much to get my attention compared to last year as I've seen enough titles. But I'm hoping I don't go overboard again like last year.

EDIT: Looks like my Kamisama Kiss preorder is ready for shipment since I seen that my payment for it is being debited. Well, guess my expenses will be higher since we're still technically in January.

Don't see anybody charging me on the last day of the month, so I might as well join the fun:

Anime: $54.48
Manga: $49.64
Other: $24.43

January Total: $128.55

Bookcases don't count, right?

I seem to be sticking well to my New Years Resolution of only spending £100 a month on anime/Manga/etc.

This month I spent:

£91.60 on manga which includes my secret Santa gift in the subscriber forum and £1.60 gifting a months subscription.

That totals £93.20. I only started tracking my spend from August last year but on average from Jan to July it's around 20% of last January.

I think my only spends in February will be from my preorders as I have so little money after being paid due to paying my credit card, savings and holiday. This might be the case for the next few months... At least I will be no where near my spending from last year.

A brand new year! A fresh, clean slate! That can only mean one thing!

I spent too much.

You and me both. I meant to reign in my spending this year even more than last year, but I wound up tossing my money around a bit too freely. A big part of that is my Nina Kickstarter came due, so that in itself accounted for over 1/4 of my expenditures for the month.

Anime: $103.06
Manga: $237.93
Figures: $200.56
Misc: $290.69

January total: $832.24

My anime expenses were just 3 titles (one of which I only had to pay the shipping on), my manga was 28 titles (man, I wish I hadn't gotten started on the Alice series, it's never ending!), 3 figures, and the miscellaneous in addition to the Nina Kickstarter was this month's Nyantype magazine and a Spice and Wolf novel.

Next month should be a lot cheaper. After all, there's 3 less days for me to buy stuff!

January was a light month for me. Probably because I didn't participate in TRSI's end of year sales.

Two anime shows for $88.96
25 volumes of manga for $220.21
1 novel for $8.39
2 volumes of Manhwa for $30.09
Tax of $16.68

Total of $331.33

February's just about done. So guess it's time to count up my spending spree from this month:

Lagrange Season 2 = $21.34
Adventures of Kotetsu Dub VHS = $7.04
Phoenix 2772 VHS = $21.08
Laughing Target VHS = $8.43
Spirit of Wonder: Miss China's Ring VHS = $12.98
Riding Bean DVD = $11.94
Compiler VHS = $13.12
Maris the Chojo VHS = $19.99
Compiler 2 VHS = $11.39
Blast of Tempest Sets = $119.96
Mardock Scramble: The Third Exhaust DVD = $21.48

February Total: $268.75
YTD Total: $542.30
Total Around this Time Last Year: $425.73

Still surpassing what I spent around this time last year. This is gonna be rough.

Yeah! Another month under £100.00 - I didn't think one would be possible but this is now two in a row.

Manga X10: £79.45 - this includes a duplicate of His Favourite 6 which Amazon told me I hadn't already ordered as well as the final volume of Our Kingdom which was £30+

Crunchyroll: £8.99

Postage of His Favourite 6 to Owly: £1

That gives me a total of £89.44 and a YTD total of £182.64

Since I barely post anywhere else on the forums anymore I feel I should at least post on this on. For Feb I only spent $103.94 which was only for two things the Psycho Pass CE and my Funi EVS membership. Since I am not buying like I used to my costs have come down a lot, plus there isn't a ton of stuff coming out that I want to own.
