Just to make it clear, it's airing outside of Toonami. Next Tuesday at 10:30 p.m.

Well what do you know? I might actually be motivated to watch the show for once. I've seen it before, when my younger brother was watching it, but never really got an idea about what the original version was like.

I agree, although that might not happen since a cut version might, according to the company, get a YGO level amount of viewers.

Just because it might get a YGO level amount of viewers doesn't mean it has to get a YGO level of editing. I just hope Viz understands that.

Getting back to DBZ "uncut"...I seriously doubt everythinig will be left intact, but the fact that it's airing TV-PG gives me strong hope that it'll help make Cartoon Network more open to using the TV-PG rating outside of Adult Swim on shows that truly need it.

ain't this just a ploy to milk a series beyond its grave?

er...

Given how DBZ still remains significantly popular both here and in Japan, I'd say it's a long ways away from any graves, pal. Just because it's not the phenomenal hit it was a few years back doesn't mean it isn't still revered by hundreds of thousands—if not millions—of fans on both sides of the Pacific.

Also, to call promoting a corrected release of the series long-requested by North American fans "milking" is a bit pushing it too, I'd say. I don't see how giving the fans what they've wanted for several years is "milking" the franchise at all.

That a special discount that he got though Expedia. It's just like the place, but a different name. Kind like Idaho and North Dakota.

When I hear a line like this, I'm reminded of the line "It turns out they're looking to give Naruto as wide an audience as possible..." from an April Fools Day Joke on Toonami Infolink (http://www.toonamiinfolink.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=910). However, I'm doubting it will get cut in order to gain more viewers. Editted for Toonami? Yes. Cut along the lines of Yu-Gi-Oh? No.

Besides, when has Viz ever aired something on Cartoon Network that has been unfairly cut?

Well, that's not a Toonami slot either. Laughing

DBZ will not be airing uncut on Toonami as previously mentioned. DBZ will be airing on Cartoon Network Monday - Thursday at 10:30pm, outside of the Toonami block, which airs on Saturday Night.

True, but Adult Swim here starts at 10PM, and ends at 1AM and then restarts.

Yep, same for me and everyone else who lives in Central Time (lucky me!).

As a non-time reference point, the "uncut TV-PG rated DBZ" will be airing in the timeslot just before Adult Swim...like roots spreading from the tree to test the waters...or something.
