Put me down as another person who thinks that's just gross looking. I mean why would you do that to your arm? The human body evolved like it did for a reason.

interesting contrast of opinions....
he's got more done and is in plenty good company... I'm not a fan of body mods other than tattooing but hey if he's happy, good for him |

I love Pokemon as much as any original fan since the day it came to the west. But what the hell is this? It's not as impressive as it is freaky to look at, looks like he's got tumors with Pokeballs painted on rather than actual Pokeballs.

It does seem ironic that a forum like BME praises the man for his boldness yet a forum dedicated to the anime that inspired the work finds it rather repulsive. LOL indeed.
More power to him, if that's what he likes. I'll leave my body unadorned, unbranded, unscarred, and uninked. Well, maybe a Prince Albert some day. ... Nah. |

Are they praising the Pokeballs or the idea of 3D tattoos? Either way, the whole 3D tattoo thing, regardless of what the image is, anime or not, is repulsive to look at. |

Really? This kid couldn't find anything else to do with his time and not to mention how much this probably cost him. Just like everyone else here has added, it's his body and he's free to do whatever he likes to it, but wow.
Has anyone else seen fans inked up with anime/manga/video game icons? It would be pretty badass to see a guy with, Shūhei Hisagi's 69 inked on his face or maybe even Gatsu's brand of sacrifice on the neck. But again, like other posters here have said, what happens in 10-20 years, when you try to explain these to people. |

I'm interested in hearing if anyone else has anime tattoos too. Personally, living in Japan, I would never get a tattoo. I like hot springs too much, and a good number of them ban patrons with tattoos.
And if I WERE to ever get a tattoo, it would definitely be a design, not a picture. |

Those were my exact thoughts when I read this article. Nevermind the health issues later in life, it just looks disgusting. I probably wouldn't have such an adverse reaction if hadn't made it 3D. All I can say is: EWWW!! |

Wow, I mean, I understand getting a tattoo of something Pokemon related, that's what I'd get a tattoo of too (meaning something Pokemon, not necessarily....that) but the implants? That's really creepy.
It could be creepier, you can get your eyeball tattooed, he could've gotten his eyeball to look like a masterball or something. |
