I didn't watch any of the Sailor Moon TV episodes until the uncut sub release. As soon as I could I snagged them, after all thousands of girls can be wrong.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the show.

Alas I did not have time to include mamny references in the Anime Companion vol.2 but plan to pay special atteneion to Sailor Moon in the web supplement. I do have to watch it all again and take detailed notes soon.

As for the 'y' in 'ye' it is actually the letter thorn, a letter that dropped out of modern English a couple of centuries ago. It is pronounced 'th' so the word 'ye' is pronounced like 'the'.

Real Old English is Anglo-Saxon, much more like a strange version of Dutch than the early modern English of Shakespeare or even the Middle English of Chaucer.
