I really liked the Fairy Tail filler a lot. However, no way it would fit in the middle of this arc. Re-runs are cheaper and make more sense.
Don't really get the new title though.

True, some filler could be good and enjoyable. (Like in One Piece) But sometimes I feel they can run on for too long, and make a show a few hundred episodes too long.

Notice he said "just". I doubt he has anything against fanservice OVAs, but it would be nice for the main story to continue as well.

There is no difference, either there is filler and you don't watch it or they don't air the show at all and you can't watch it.
At least with filler they can still get paid, even if its not as much as the canon story.
Personally i'd rather there be filler, then we wouldn't have to wonder if the show is going to come back on or not.

Well the last time I waited 8 years(actually maybe 9 after the re-runs xD) for Hunter X Hunter... I will wait even more for Fairy Tail!!!

When has any long running anime series ever go into reruns in Japan? In this case, it's rather unique and this greatly hint that the series will only be on hiatus for a little while and since the Fairy Tail is 175 episodes long is a great sign that there will be plenty of time for catching up to the manga and that the anime series WILL come back at a later date and all I could say to that is what a relief!
Since the good news still haven't come yet, Mashima better announce that the series will come back with new episodes at a much later date. |
Hunter X Hunter did. Thats why its called Hunter X Hunter (2011). But Hunter X Hunter had more chapters out on the manga so it have a rerun makes more sense.

That would be amazing! Even if they just made OVA to show the end of the series would be great.
