What? So, let me get this straight... You want to "support" FMA, but you don't want to have to PAY to see FMA? If that isn't irony I don't know what it is!

Frankly, I'm hoping it will get dubbed to English and released here in the US so that I can pay to see it, either in a theatre or on DVD.

I'm fairly sure that was sarcasm-- hence the quotes around "victory."

Yeah, I think you, uh, missed the blatant sarcasm.

And otherwise... I'm hoping a raw surfaces ASAP so I can see it.

I've sure as hell donated enough to that franchise to not feel guilty about getting to see the movie before it's out here. Heh.

You haven't donated to the franchise, you've paid (I assume) for a product and or service rendered. You have not paid for the film, you have paid for the TV/games/assorted merchandise, so do not assert that you have any right to see it for free. I can't stop you from doing what you want to see it, but stop trying to justify your actions to everyone because it's really very annoying.

another thing, FMA is a damn good cross genre political struggle that can be watched with as much glory as evangelion did with all of its angles of story telling. It is not some DBZ or pokemon, it is hard core well thought out bloody story telling. I have alot of respect for it.

I saw all the tv series for free and must have spent over 4 thousand dollars on my vacation to japan and i happned to spend 16 bucks ona ticket in Ginza for the movie on a day off last monday.

that's fair right? Razz

Um, sorry, but it's not. It's watching all the episodes for free, paying the airlines $4k, then actually spending your first $16 on the FMA franchise in order to see the movie. Little known fact: the airlines do not actually make the FMA anime.

I'm just joking with you, Zeriam. Wink

Now, THAT would be an example of some sarcasm that I can really get my teeth around! Very Happy

The Japanese seem to have a higher tolerance for ROTS than we did.

Well, the Jedi (even in the new trilogy) are still just over-glorified Samurai with magic. I can see why that would appeal to them more than Westerners.

As for the whole "pay your way, support FMA" issue. I too will probably be a thief for about six months until Funimation inevitably license and release it in the US. Then I'll import the DVD like I'm doing the series...
So yeah, on the short term I'm a mofoing thief, but in the long term they'll get my cash.

Patience, my young apprentice. Soon, the FMA movie will be in the hands of [insert known fansub website] and our victory will be at hand.

"Victory" is not having to pay to watch something you love and want to support.

I'm going to go throw up now.

Whoa, forgot all about this tread. Given all the ROTS talk going about, I figured I'd just drop the /Palpatine HTML tag.

Trust me, I'll have the DVD of this pre-ordered.

it's been hinted at, but just to ask plainly:

Have leaked copies of Japanese films still in theaters ended up online before?

It's almost guaranteed for American films, but Japanese films?
