So, Naruto Movie 2 is top this week..

No suprises there.

A friend of mine actually saw it the day it came out. She claimed that it's x100 better than the first movie. I must admit, it does look awsome.

Movie 2 is top, but 2 days box office of Movie 2 is 60% of Movie 1.

I'm guessing the two straight months of substandard filler episodes have hurt Naruto's popularity somewhat. I realize they're nessacery so the anime doesn't catch up with the manga, but they can wreck a show's popularity sometimes (see also Kenshin.)

I'm just glad that Shining Boy and Little Randy are still on the list! What would I do without Shining Boy and Little Randy? What would...ANYONE do?

I'm surprised they even ranked a piss-poor movie about Martians and their Scientology hack co-star.

Awww....i liked that movie. Not much to say about its lead actor, but the movie itself was rather well done. It was a pretty good modern adaptation of the original story I thought...

And really....Naruto has lost MUCH of its apeal on me. The first part of the series was genious...now? not so much Anime cry

That's disappointing to hear. I'm thrilled to have the chance to see it on Cartoon Network, even if the dub might have its... downsides (to put it lightly). I've heard such great, appraising things about the series, so seeing this makes me a bit skeptic.

War of the Worlds is an amazing film and I liked it very much. As far as book adaptations go it's very good. And Tom Cruise is a good actor regardless of what you think about his personal life. Not that Iw ould expect good taste from someone who writes crap like "Scientology hack co-star".

Don't worry, there's about 100+ episodes before it ever loses steam. It's just recently that the anime has started to suck (not just due to the affect of fillers). I've also heard fans complaining about the recent manga releases as well. But you'll enjoy it for a long time before you can start complaining.

Also, WotW was pretty damn good. Can't say much for Cruise though.

I heard with the Densha Otoko movie, if you claim that you're an Otaku, you get a discount to see it. And since then 75% of the customers have been claiming that. I haven't seen the movie, but I am watching the TV series which is really awesome.
