.

It's Region B for bluray, and region 2 for DVD.

But if you have the money to spend on importing JP or Region B titles, you probably should invest and get a region free BD player (which will play all DVD regions as well). There are excellent region free DVD players available for under $60 and BD players for $150, which is not expensive when talking about $300-$500+ series....

I'll definitely be picking up this Cowboy Bebop BD release!

I think Australia is Region 4 for DVD:

Australia is definitely Region 4 for DVD.
The video format there is PAL however, like the UK (which is Region 2), so you also need equipment which can display PAL or convert to NTSC.

Australia and Europe are both Region B for BD.

So is Akito being dubbed or is that unconfirmed?

Also would someone for the love of god rescue Bebop!? It's going to get subjected to scalping at this rate due to it being out of print! Same with Big O and Outlaw Star!

It's been confirmed to be subtitle-only (and hence DVD-only).

With Bandai burned out in the shithouse, and still cockblocking all their properties stateside, it's fair to say we won't be seeing that dub for a very, very long time. If ever.
