Yes, there's a little bit more after that. spoiler[ Izumiko relaxes when she realizes that Miyuki has fallen asleep with his head on her shoulder. Then she places her hand over Miyuki's and leans her head on top of his. From the looks of things she too drifts off to sleep. It's a sweet ending, in my opinion.]

This anime was so very odd and hard to follow....but I did appreciate all the folklore and of course the gorgeous artwork...and the characters were likable too.

If a second season is announced, I'd hop aboard again.

What I'm pissed at is spoiler[YOU MAKE THEM KISS IN THE OPENING BUT NOT IN THE ACTUAL SHOW!? WHAAAAAAAT]

Still, I suppose that makes sense for the show because spoiler[Izumiko is still uncertain of her own feelings for Miyuki. She likes him...but isn't sure if it's true love, I think. Because she is still young and naive. Heavily implied they will be together though.]

Oh yeah, btw, the ending song finally grew on me after about ten episodes...and I am forced to put it on CD. lol
(YES, CD, BECAUSE MY CAR IS OLD, OKAY?)

I don't think it's really meant to be fully understood.

They probably figured "eh, we've shown it to them a dozen times; we don't really need to put it in an episode."

Honestly, I don't care about cars at all. If I can drive from point A to point B while listening to anime music in comfortable temperature, that's all I need.

I'd much rather spend my money on being otaku. Anime hyper
