@nobahn: That question is asked on the previous page. I don't have any good ideas, myself...the closest thing I can think of would be Armitage but it doesn't end like that.

As I see it, the problem is is that what is needed is someone who has a passing knowledge of what was (and was not) broadcast on Greek television in the mid-'90s. I don't see too many ANN users possessing such knowledge. Perhaps the below might be able to provide answers.

Maybe Hoshi no Ko Chobin.
The creator is Ishinomori Shōtarō.

There's a person who has posted snippets of anime shown in Greece on youtube. Search for

"All japanese anime that where played on Greece" (sic)

The original poster might be able to recognize the anime he is seeking by viewing the excerpts.

This MAL post lists anime that was broadcast from 1965-1996 on Hellenic TV so it may be of further help. I'll dig through the titles to see if any resemble what the guy is looking for; I'll update my post when/if if I find it.

Some things that could make the search easier:

1) a more specific year (i.e. 1995, etc.)
2) just brief information on any remembered characters
3) was it really a movie or a TV series.

Edit:

The closest thing I'm finding to match the information provided is Sei Jushi Bismark/Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs.

MAL provides a more descriptive synopsis than ANN so here it is:

Quote:
In the distant future, humanity has explored beyond Earth and colonized both the inner and outer planets of the Solar System. In order to protect the colonies and maintain law and order in the solar system, the Earth Federation Government (EFG) was created. Soon, many settlers started to resent the EFG's and its sphere of influence, straining the relationship between the central government and the colonies.

While a strained peace was being forged between Earth and the colonies, a race of non-human creatures known as Deathcula invaded the System. Without provocation, they attacked the colonies and killed many of the colonists. The EFG quickly realized that the Deathcula were technologically superior and their forces were hopelessly matched. In order to have a chance at survival, Dr. Charles Louvre developed a transformable starship known as the Bismarck.

Knowing that an advanced team of specialists were required to operate the Bismarck, four individuals came together and were charged with keeping the outer colonies safe from further Deathcula attacks.

Reading the character information on the Deathcula gives me the impression that they're cyborgs so that fits but these guys don't transform from what I read. Another problem here is that this was a TV series instead of a movie.

I've become a person who can't seem to remember! I'm looking for an anime ...

In an early scene a woman lands on a post-dystopian world looking for something. I think she saw/steps on a flower. Maybe she saw a person or a shadow image was watching her as she explored a destroyed area.

That's all I can remember. Does it ring any bells? Sorry I don't have anything else to add. I'd appreciate any leads or suggestions!

I am so grateful to you my friend. Your link proved useful. Immediately my attention was drawn by a title that goes by "Andromeda Stories" (1982). I found a link to that movie. The opening scene definitely rang a bell and indeed Bingo! The movie ends exactly in the way I describe in my previous post. You see a kid might confuse things but it will never forget what was scarved on his memory! And the last scene is rather fearful indeed to be confused for sth else.

Thank you all guys for the assistance. It s been more than twenty years since the last time I saw it.

Hey there,

I'm looking for a copy of the anime Gigi and the Fountain of Youth.

anime#2796

***PLEASE NOTE*** i'm not looking for a free download or a torrent. I'm looking for a legitimate website to rent or buy or pay to stream. I'll even consider a VHS copy that I can purchase.

My brother and I watched this anime as kids and we loved it. He's getting married, and I thought it would be a nice gift that he and his fiance could enjoy, and something he could hang onto for his children.

I had a VHS copy of it, but I can't find it anywhere Sad

Thanks!

I can't seem to remember the name of a certain anime I seen a small bit of a while back.

The most I remember about it is that there is a male white haired character called Karasu, and it had something to do with something called a Dragon Torque.

Ringing a bell for anyone?

Also, this is my first post in the fora, so hello everyone!
