I saw Fist of the North Star for the first time in fifth grade and I've wanted it ever since. Now since everything is dvd, I've begun building my collection and Fist has always been on my list of must haves. A friend of mine swears seeing it on dvd a while back, but not since then. I have looked everywhere for this movie with no success. If anyone has any information involving the dvd status or where I can get one, a response would be greatly appreciated.

It was once available on dub-only dvd, but the company that released it seems to have fallen apart. Manga has the less violent tv show-which the movie summarized-and they're supposed to be releasing it on dvd sometime this year. No word on episode ratio. ADV seems to be in touch with Carl Macek, and they're eying older Streamline titles, so maybe ADV will eventually get the movie.
