This is awesome beyond words! I loved watching the show on YTV back in the day!

But an uncut, Japanese language version too? Finally, I'll get to see the unedited Naga battle and the lost episode, "Of War and Hate".

Stuff like this just further proves why Discotek is my #1 favorite anime company! Very Happy

Far out, been feeling nostalgia for Monster Rancher lately! The great Mon Shows of the late 90s, memories. This gives me more hope for another Cardcaptor Sakura re-release as the Geneon Sets are out of print and super expensive.

So weird, I was just remembering how I use to watch this years ago and was looking at it on MAL and thinking of watching it again.

It's JUST now getting a US release or what? :O

@Chibigoku: TMS has had no problem giving Discotek, Nozomi (Rose Of Versailles) & Media Blasters (remastered Magic Knight Rayearth) their original masters so far so I'm sure they'll get both for this show (international as part of the edited dub obviously).

If there's anything TMS-related to be concerned about, it's The Woman Called Fujiko Mine and what FUNi's using for their combo pack.

Almost forgot about CCS! That's one I'd like to see re-released as well!

Yes!! I tried to watch streams of this show in like 240p. I'm so glad I can just own it and now watch it in it's entirety. I still play Monster Rancher Advance 2 from time to time .

Holy shit, this was unexpected. I may pick up that first dub set... The Japanese one is a guarantee if it's not cancelled.

Now can we do this to Medarot, Digimon, Gash Bell, Pokémon...

Okay, Discotek responded to my question about the master they're going to use:

Me too! I'd love for it to be re-dubbed since the old dub for the show was pretty shoddy from what I heard.

It would depend on if Disoctek could locate all of the episodes. In the US KidsWB edited the show further than Nelvana did, and skipped a bunch of episodes. The entirety of the show was aired in international markets in a less edited form.

Actually, as much as I love Discotek, I didn't have them in mind as a licensor for CCS. I was thinking this'd be more along the lines of FUNimation or Maiden Japan or Sentai Filmworks.

It's on the Adventure singles, which I also picked up along with the boxset. =3
Wait, singles?

http://www.amazon.com/Digimon-Adventure-Volume-Michael-Reisz/dp/B009O07NDO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367530502&sr=8-1&keywords=Digimon+volume+2

I have this one, it has the Closed caption signal on back and popped it into my DVD player, plays the caption as well.

They released the full boxset and then singles of 3 sets each afterward.
Huh. I kinda feel like a twit for what feels like the beta version of the boxset then :/

I hope the dub sets will be the original BKN edits instead of the Fox Kids edits. The Fox Kids version cut out additional scenes to make room for more commercial time.
