The poll for next week is already over? That's kind of lame.

Hi,

You stated:
Quote:
Though the two that I have actually made so far didn't go exactly as I had planned, I still love the way they turned out, and if I will probably remake them once I get proper materials to make the box out of.

I've been there, with zero cash to spend.
USPS has mailing boxes, in various sizes, for FREE.
(These are the "Whatever fits, ships for one low price" boxes.)
USPS will even mail you some, for free.

* You need 2, same size boxes, not yet assembled (they are still flat). *

How to modify the two boxes.

BOX ONE:

1)..Assemble Box One's two short sides.
.....Then, turn Box One, so it rests on one, short side.
.....One of the large flat sides, should be facing towards you.
.....The open side, should face right.

2)..Mark the line before cutting. to keep it straight.
.....Use a strong knife or box cutter, to cut Box One as follows.
.....Start cutting, 1/2 inch in, from the left side, top corner,
.....Cut - Diagonally - Downward,
.....End cut approx. 2 inches above the right side, bottom corner.

3)..Fill Box One with DVD cases, then, Set Aside.

BOX TWO:

4)..BEFORE assembling Box Two, put Box Two flat on the table.
.....Turn it, so one of the large flat sides faces up, in front of you.
.....Turn the open side, to face towards you.

5)..Cut off, the parts that make the long, front side.

6)..Place Box Two, around Box One.

7)..Now assemble Box Two's, 2 short sides, one at a time.
.....Remove the tape, and stick the two pieces of the left side together.
.....Repeat on the right side.
**..This ensures that Box Two fits, the way you like, over Box One, when full..**

*** You Are Done ! ***

Now, you know it's a perfect solution.

The 2 inches of the right side, that was not removed, on Box One;
.....Makes it easy to add or remove your DVDs.
.....Makes a strong and durable base, on Box One.
.....Protects the DVDs from damage and bumps.
.....Keeps the DVDs from falling over, onto their sides, or out of the box.
.....Makes it easy to slip Box One, inside Box Two.

You mentioned decorating your box.
Quote:
so I decided to use my artistic ability to make my own art-boxes for anime series that I really liked

This two part box set, lets you adorn every side, your way.
Box One = The front edge/spine.
Box Two = The top, the back edge/spine, the two large flat sides.

I suppose you could, decorate the inside of Box Two and it's base, if you had a secret something you wanted to put there. Embarassed

Hope this helps.

Anyone know why this is in the Australia sub-Forum instead of Talkback?

Oh wow, I hadn't even noticed that. Thanks for mentioning it-- I've moved it back to the usual Talkback.

I get the feeling that the story for Pilot and the Bride was done somewhere before.....overall it just felt really generic, but it wasn't so bad, the way the ending was melancholic rather than something like "happy ever after". Some of the dialogues felt kind of cheesy and the voice acting wasn't the greatest I have ever seen. The movie redeemed itself with the great animation though.
