Can never get enough of Akira - this is one of the few amine films that quite a few people I know have watched but are not into anime... It got me into it!

I agree as it's one of the titles that secured my interest in anime, but I'm now wondering if it's more of an interest in it being a classic anime, Thinking about it as if I was in my early 20s, or late teens I think something like Mardock Scramble would now be the choice of anime introduction, to me at least. Watching Akira now is like watching Cassablanca to me now.
