I've heard the anime did pretty badly in Japan, would they even bother with a sequel?

It's good to see all these series actually ending rather than getting cancelled and having a rushed end though.

I didn't see a whole lot of the "Deadman Wonderland" manga. And,I'm not sorry it's ending. It was just too bloody for me. I don't know if anyone will rescue the license for this one but I don't know if they will. It's just too nasty.

Hopefully someone will pick up the licence for an English rerelease or at least finish the damn thing off. I'm not up to date with the manga but it sounds like its ending at a good point with every thing tied up. I'm disappointed to see another title ending this year but as long as the story comes to a health conclusion there can't be anything more to complain about.

True, but one can still hope.
Chihayafuru did badly and got a second season.
Bakuman did worse--less than 1k copies per BD volume; low enough not to register--and got 3 seasons.

Although not common, there are more examples, like White Album. It got 2 seasons made despite similarly very bad sales (less than 1k) AND there is another anime in the works for White Album 2.

If there's to be another season, they'll have to patch up some holes they made, such as neglecting to introduce Hitara and Chaplin when Ganta met Minatsuki.

Nah I would say Naruto as a year at least left, plus it would be such big news we would know more about it.

For every manga that ends, another 20 are trying to fill its gap.
