how is it manga artists always come down with some serious illness at the peak of their work?

maybe it's because:
1) Being an mangaka is stressful on your health (like how mangaka's stories of the office .. lack of sleep , living off ramen, etc.)
2) if it wasn't a manga or anime artist we wouldn't care otherwise

All those weekly mangakas get major props from me. Them and their assistants must work their asses off to get me the goods every week, especially when it's quality work like One Piece. Mmmmmm that stuff is good.
