Super thrilled for Holic Rei, MLM, and Say "I Love You"! I've wanted to read those three for so long!

What I would like to know about the Tsubasa and xxxHolic re-releases is will they just be 3 of the single volumes bound into one book, or will there be changes? Things like a different translation, or a larger page format? In other words, will there be anything of value added worth double dipping for if you already have all of Tsubasa and xxxHolic?

...This. I'm pretty sure the translation will be different, for copyright reasons, though. I'm interested in how they will romanize Fai's name. They'll probably keep it the same, since Del Rey started with "Fai" before CLAMP revealed it was actually spelled "Fay" (pronounced the same, of course). |

I'm looking forward to My Little Monster. I might be willing to double dip on the Tsubasa/xxxHolic omnibuses if they're more like Dark Horse's omnibuses (with the color art pages) versus Viz's regular, non-VizBig omnibuses.

Excellent news. I wonder how the translations will differ now that the whole series for Tsubasa and xxxHOLiC have been out for a while. (CLAMP has a way of hinting at certain plot threads with nuanced language. It didn't always translate well since the translator didn't know what was coming.)

I'd say so-so when it came to the genshiken omnibuses they were serviceable but nothing to write home about. There weren't any color inserts if I remember correctly it was just three volumes smushed together. |
