What /I/ think the problem is, that SOME americans don't want their children being exposed to other cultures and that's the same with japan. Except, with Japan, it's the majority, not the minority.

=/ Which is why some anime may be banned in the near future.

But I don't think the parents should have called up the station just to tell about it.
Jeez, they're overreacting.

It's probably Marmalade Boy, as has been said at the beginning of this thread.

I'm shocked...Just shocked...The Japanese should be ashamed...ahamed of themselves. corrupting the youth and publishing books with no rainbow and lollipops...WE MUST CALL JACK THOMPSON! He'll know what to do.
*sarcasm*
And those manga are 13+, right? So there.

Um...This article speaks for itself...it humiliates itself very good without our help. So I'm done Very Happy

Next thing we know, Cardcaptors and others like it will be burned at churches like Harry Potter was when the first movie came out.

they probably think those are reading levels, not ratings. Books normally aren't rated, manga excluded.

Marmalade Boy? That's like, one of the sweetest, most harmless manga out there. And they don't swap partners, they just divorce, and then re-marry other people. Or is divorce also wrong now?

Ah, anyway, libraries are evil places. When I was like, 12, I asked a librarian to reccomend me some good sci-fi I haven't read yet. She gave me a book that involved robots having sex with each other and people. I was scarred for life. Well, not really. But THAT was inappropriate. I say it's bettter to let the kids pick their reading than the evil perverted librarians.
