Nina's probably talking about Bill, the man she met that taught her about action anime. Here's the first strip in that arc:

That probably makes more sense. I forgot about him.

How could you forget him? He was the first thing that popped into my head after seeing this week's 'you're already dead' tagline! (OK, second- first was, of course, Fist of the North Star.)

I suppose it's a good thing Nina had trouble with her action lessons... perhaps if she had remembered the Mad Max part, this would have ended in a much messier way.

Yes! The One hundred Crack Fist! Although.. Nina's result was a bit different... Maybe she was sleeping through that lesson? That's what you get when you don't pay attention... Razz

Hey, this time she didn't hurt herself; that's real progress!

ATATATATATATATATATATATAAAA, ATATATATATATATATATATA....

xP I JUST saw this on Know Your Meme the other day. Best technique ever. In the world.

I'm guessing she is talking about the Bill from the older comic...I wasn't reading it back then, but it seems to make more sense than Kill Bill. Bill never did learn the technique.

Yeah, I'm guessing the Bill Nina is referring to must be the action guru she met at a con. It makes total sense considering she is mimicking action anime. I only recoginize Ranma's "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" technique. What other anime is she re-enacting?

Great comic this week!

As funny as it was, I think it would've been even more awesome if at least one panel adapted Tetsuo Hara's artstyle for Nina's portrayal, as it was done for Shuichi Shigeno's character design for that Initial D parody a while back.

I love it when action anime has those moments of 'Your attack had no effect on me' and then there's a ridculously massive burst of blood. Except that in this case what burst out was a lot nastier than blood Laughing

Fist of the North Star is practically made of that.
