While many of you think this is going to 8 1/2 hours the only people watching is lonely people with no where to go or people left the cable box on to that channel, need the less, there are people going to watch. Why? What the heck are people below 21 going to do, and it better not include drinking. For shame.

By the way, what is Adult Swim after the Ninjathon?

A marathon of anime parody Perfect Hair Forever, followed by two Inu-Yasha films.

You think they're trying to tell the IY fans something?

Yeah. Not everyone goes out partying on New Year's Eve.

For a number of years, my family and I just chilled out at home for the New Year's Countdown and all that jazz.

Good for you.

In Canada, YTV will probably have the Annual Anime-Nia. I have a feeling this year will be a 2 days of Anime MArathon unlike the last 2 years which they were only on December 31st. Gundam Seed Destiny would be good in special presentation in the marathon. But YTV didn't announce yet GSD.

Teletoon in French will probably have the South Park Marathon. In English, I don't know.

As long as I'm not working I will so be watching this..and if I am working...I've got a VCR. Which I should have been using up till now because that way I wouldn't have missed all the Naruto episodes that CN has aired and be needing to watch the marathon. I'll be watching closely to decide if I'm going to buy the Toonami edited DVDs when the first one comes out next March. I wonder how Naruto is doing with CN viewers who weren't already familiar with the series through manga or fansubs.

I'd call you crazy if ya did. I'd rather wait another several months for the uncut bi-lingual dvd sets.

My advice: wait for the uncut DVDs. Viz will release them in box sets starting in July, with 13 episodes to a disc and only 20-30 dollars per set.

I didn't know viz was gonna be releasing 13 episodes per disc.... Is that possible? I know that the Dragonball "boxes" had like 15 episodes per disc but I always thought it was because they were low quality. Well I guess maybe I will pick up Naruto on DVD and give it a chance, IF AND ONLY IF what Yashouzoid said is true though.

They will be 13 episode SETS. The number of DVDs is unknown but it will be at least 2, but 3 or 4 is much more likely. 13 25-minute episodes on a single DVD is not possible (as you were saying).

Well, you can theoretcially fit 13 25-minute avi's onto a DVD. I actually think you can fit around 20-25, but I haven't tried it yet.

Standard-issue DVD's do have a lot of space, you know.

So...Naruto, Perfect Hair Forever, and two Inu Yasha movies? Is there going to be anything good on New Year's?
