Got some things for cheap today!

Manga
Kare Kano 13, 17, 18 new for $5.30 each (after tax)

Anime
Aquarion part 1
Kyo Kara Maoh! Seasons 1 and 2

See, MovieStop always has anime as buy 2 get 1 free on used, so Aquarion was kinda forced on me. But since I'm aware that KKM sells for stupid high prices online, I figured it would be an easy sell if I dislike it. Oh, all three sets were $15 each, so $30+tax altogether, awesome find, no? They're the thinkpacks btw, and I'm aware that MovieStop can't tell the difference between real DVDs and bootlegs, but this is legit Geneon stuff. Even if it's not the uber special limited box, still a good deal. Also, I couldn't help but notice from looking at the pictures on the thinpack covers but are there any females in this show?

Nice find with Kyo Kara Maoh! seasons one and two.

I've seen only the first season of KKM!, but there were only about a handful of major female characters in the episodes I saw.

Lucky dog! I'm holding out hope that eventually it'll get relicensed... someday....

There are some. A few recurring females but no females that I'd call a main character. The shounen-ai aspects are very mild.

I mentioned this in the Bargain Hunting thread, but I'll repeat it here just to spread the word: Amazon.ca is selling Avatar The Last Airbender - The Complete Book 1 for $13.99. Unfortunately, the other two books are still going for their usual price ($35-ish). I snagged Book 1 because that's a great price and hopefully I can score the other two at a similar price in the future.

as in bassackwards? Very Happy yeah I know, but I "rationalized" and "justified" all of it.
It was because of Bandai, I "Had to" get it done before I traveled south, and much of it was on sale already. At least that's the story I'm sticking with...

9781932234930 GTO: 14 Days in Shonan Graphic Novel 4 (*) 1 $5.48
9781932234862 GTO: The Early Years Graphic Novel 12 (Shonan Junai Gumi) (*) 1 $6.48

Thank you, Spastic Minnow, for posting about the Better World Books sale, as I wanted exactly 4 books. Also got one on eBay, totaling:

Kare Kano 14-16, 19, 21

Now for the tricky one....20....oh and on the negative side, BWB has an operation in MD, so I had to pay sales tax. But even with that, I'm at an average of $2.331 per volume, I usually feel most comfortable at $3.5 or less, so this is going pretty well, even if they're ex-library books (I've learned to clean them up pretty well, I mostly care about the spines, I will not have them look ugly on my shelf like that!) I wouldn't say that the shipping is "Free" so much as "built into the cost of the book". You see the same books from them at Alibris, and they're 99 cents with $3.99 for the first book and $2.19 after on shipping. But since the BWB website doesn't acknowledge that the cost is built in, that made 30% come off the whole thing, so that worked out pretty well, actually.
