Sorry about late post.

I'm another who thinks Tales of Earthsea has got a bad rap (haven't read the books). Although ultimately I have to say the story doesn't hang together, I'd rate this film above the non-Miyazaki Ghibli films, and above several of the father's less successful efforts.

Certainly for a first film from someone admittedly new to the industry, it was bloody good. I'm glad to hear Goro hasn't thrown in the towel, and look forward to seeing his new effort.
