what the feel like jump the sharks or stunt casting really oh come it's so either "him" or pull a lookalike something?

really even whole series (expect for wonderland story) yea still have issues with this series.

The most popular theory seems to be that this is spoiler[brainwashed Lulu], but if that were the case, spoiler[wouldn't he have remembered his time as Julius when he got his memory back in the beginning of R2]? It could also be spoiler[time-traveling immortal Lulu from after the end of the series]. If that's the case... spoiler[does that mean he changes things so R2 never happened and we'll get an alternate R2]? That would be awesome, but since it still wouldn't bring back spoiler[Euphie]... meh.
It could also be a clone. Or a secret twin. (side note: remember how there was going to be a girl named Lilycia, who was Jeremiah's sister and looked like Lelouch?)
And I'm wondering if this has played into anyone's theories about L-Elf from Valvrave actually being Lelouch...

That counts as a retcon, but it wouldn't really change anything if he did.

He'd still act and react in exactly the same way without modifying the overarching story.
