I'm all for more Patlabor, but I wish this project would have been animated rather than live action. That would have provided for a bit more consistency with the rest of the series, since this is supposed to be a sequel. I'm also skeptical that this will even see a release outside of Japan. Time will tell, I guess.

Holy crap omg this sounds great. Well... Oshii's live action stuff hasn't been the most memorable but I'm pulling for this especially since it's patlabor.
Hey Sentai hasn't just acquired it, but they've released the oav and 1st set of patlabor tv already. On Blu-Ray and it's great! Go grab it if you haven't already!
