I've been interested in picking up this game, but I wound up getting EOIV instead (because it was onsale for $20 at Gamestop)
One thing I've not been 100% clear on about this game, its Classic Mode is it a faithful remake of the original game? Basically, If I play Classic Mode am I playing an enhanced port of EO1? Or is it changed somewhat?

I've only played a bit of Classic, but it seems like a closer recreation of the original game (still has grimoires?) There's some interplay between Story and Classic, in that once story is completed you can use the story classes in classic mode, but it's a little awkward. You only seem to be able to class change into Gunner and Highlander, you can't create new characters.
