What is interesting is that while the FMA anime has apparently done well, the FMA manga, while clearly getting off to a big bang, seems to have really fallen off.

Where has it fallen off? I'm just curious, I haven't read it in a while and the monthly schedule sometimes makes me forget how good last month's chapters were.

Personally i thought the manga had more interesting takes and some more satisfying answers. But then again, we can't really tell until the manga really ends.

I really don't find that page funny, infact I find it extremely offensive. I am a person who likes to joke around and have a good time but there are certain issues that are not to be joke around with.\

Well, I'm sorry that I can't entertain everyone. Excuse me fo trying to provide a little comic relief. Sometimes humor just goes unappreciated. If I offended anyone other than Deltakiral, then sorry.

I'm accessing the forums from a public library, and this is the message I get when I click on that page you linked to:

Quote:
ACCESS DENIED!
Category: Obscene/Tasteless

I don't think the librarians found it very funny either.

As I said before, I apologize to anyone who was offended. It's not my fault that everybody has different tastes when it comes to humor. If anyone else feels so offended, then please state so, and I will gladly remove the link.

I don't see why people are getting so worked up over it though. I mean, I sent that link to a suicidal friend of mine and she thought it was so funny that she decided not to cut herself that night.

Hell, man, half of my friends are either out drinking alcohol or smoking pot, and we're only 14. But I don't do that stuff because anime = my anti-drug.

Oh, and I'm gonna go ahead and remove that link. It's taking away from the discussion, and I think that people should be talking about the success of the FMA manga and not about some link that half the people on ANN find offensive or tasteless.

Well, glad to see things haven't changed since I was in Middle School... Rolling Eyes

I'm happy and I'm sad about FMA manga right now. I picked up volumes 1-9 in the past 2 days, I'm currently finishing #2, and I don't know what I am going to do when I get to the end and have to play the waiting game.

Does anyone know how far the manga was when the anime was produced? I hope they don't incorporate that whole gate spoiler[beign a portal to our world] thing.

spoiler[It's not the same. How the homunculus were created, as well as the "gate" (it's called the Doors of Truth in the manga) are completely different from the anime. Dante doesn't exist, so that should give you some insight into the plot (Wrath and Sloth aren't who they are in the anime either).]

The anime and manga are essentially two different series with characters who have the same names. Personalities also are different, take Al for example. He is anything but meek towards Ed in the manga. -_-'
