You realize you're essentially calling all gore mindless..
A man running around chopping people up like guts from berserk or rambo slicing into kidneys with a combat knive or shooting them full of 50 caliber rounds is essentially mindless gore. Or you know zombies having a feast and slurping on intestines like spaghetti, serial killers just tampering with a body for the sake of pleasure is also another good example. You feel me?
If you want a good example look up spoiler[The Gory Parts of Blood-C *SPOILERS* on youtube.]
Guess i can't link that here.

If that's not mindless then I don't know what.

If you want mindless gore porn watch md geist or read mahou shoujo of the end, you will instantly know the difference.
The gore in akame ga kill is still portrayed in a way where you're connected with the person who meets there cruel fate. Not where you're cringing and on the brink of throwing up while being emotionally involved. There's different scenarios but you should get the picture.

Well, it would be a pretty f'cked up world if everyone had the same opinion on mindless. And Akame is not porn right?

there were some scenes and chapters themselves that had little no difference from guro hentai

and he doesn't focus much on the characters themselves either, very basic and typical shounen for what the dark theme tries to portray

The only way you guy's are gonna know is reading akame ga kill yourself don't just take our word for it because you never know if someone is just trying to feed you false information.
I have learned to do my research instead of taking what i read from some anonymous source to heart.

I wasn't speaking about you.

I'm not even into gore, but this intrigues me for some reason. Perhaps it's the character designs. I'll make sure to keep it on my radar in the following months. I enjoyed Attack on Titan but I wouldn't exactly say that was the most gruesome anime ever made. They cleverly avoided showing quite a few bloody moments. I don't know if they'd be able to get away with that with a series like this.

It's a bit more detailed, but it's also choreographed in a way the blood flows less often. Don't underestimate the body count however.

I'm happy that the manga is getting adapted BUT I'm confused. Confused It says "A girl Akame brainwashed by an assassin..." That isn't Akame ga kill...that's Akame ga kill ZERO, the prequel to Akame ga kill.

The prequel [Akame ga kill! Zero] is where is follows Akame being brainwashed by an assassin.

The main story/sequel [Akame ga kill!] is about Tatsumi and him joining the Night Raid, and meeting Akame in Night Raid.

SO are they adapting the prequel [Akame ga kill! Zero) OR the sequel [Akame ga kill!]?

No, it's definitely the main story and not the prequel. There are not enough chapters currently for even a 13 ep anime for the prequel. Whoever does the summaries for ANN is just not that good at their job, I guess... (the whole summary thing was addressed earlier in the thread as well)
