I am presuming that Fuka is the daughter of Suzuka and Yamato, thus remaining in the same world as his previous works.
Fuka's recent appearance in Kimi no iru machi was probably a foreshadowing of this forthcoming manga. Hopefully this doesn't affect his ongoing continuation of Half & Half as that is a very interesting manga. |

As shown through occasional manga crossovers Suzuka and Kimi no iru machi are set in the same universe, with appearances by Suzuka characters in the manga.
In chapter 257, there is Suzuka and her daughter Fuka (the little girl) at the train station. I thus believe it is likely that the new manga will be set in the same universe, but in a future time setting when Fuka is older. Kouji Seo would unlikely reuse the name Fuka if this was not the case. Only thing that has me questioning my own theory is that this new manga from the images looks to have a supernatural theme, thus putting the real world setting of the previous universe as unlikely. |

I was hoping that Fūka would be a character in his next manga! We'll have to wait to find out if her last name is Akitsuki before we know for sure. The picture, as poor as the quality is, does remind me of Suzuka, so I would bet that it is her. I always enjoyed the Suzuka/Fūka cameos in KnIM.

How many more chapters can there be of Half & Half? It is on something like day 5 of seven now, right? I'd say it will have one more volume worth and that will be it. It may be my favorite of his manga, however. A pretty good story. |
