I still have this feeling that Capcom may end up doing USSFIV releases for the PS4 and XBox One. I think I saw that the next Guilty Gear or another continuing fighter franchise is getting a PS4 port. So far, the new gen consoles are just dead empty of new fighters besides Killer Instinct which was never going to have the biggest installed base outside of being the XB1 pack-in.
2015 should definitely pick up for fighting games as the usual big names get more experience with the new hardware and can confidently kiss the PS3 and XBox 360 goodbye. I think those two consoles will be dead well before 2017... |
