I have high hopes for these Mirai projects tbh. I enjoyed some of them in the past before so expectations are high :3

Exactly this. Last year I enjoyed 80% of them, hoping to see similar results this year

One-shots can be nice, but a lot of the previous films have been fake first episodes for series that don't exist, which I find kind of frustrating.

This is an interesting project. It's been awhile since something like this has happened.

Anime Mirai happens every year, so I'm not sure what you mean.

And most people only paid any attention last year for the first time because of LWA. All of the other Anime Mirai episodes basically came and went, with maybe the spider-girl one gaining any audience.

People usually just not pay any mind unless it includes something typical of anime.

Pretty cool to see Naoyuki Onda directing one of these young animator training shorts. I've liked a lot of the stuff he's worked on and done character designs and animation direction for.

I thinking in terms of these types of anthology projects. I wasn't aware of what Anime Mirai is. But I'm thinking back to the days of Robot Carnival and later projects. Now that I have an idea what this project is I'm expressing much joy that something like this is happening and it's constant. We need to hear more about these things. It almost seems like a festival in the likes of say the International festivals where new talent is really pushing the boundaries.

It's happening because the government pays for it to happen. I guess that's a good thing, but that money could go at any time.

Yes. What you said, I'm starting to notice there are quite a few countries who's governments are funding projects like this. I think I heard either China or Korea was doing something of this nature as well. Sorta trying to get in on the animation market and putting their rep on the map. Not to mention cross country collaborations. The only problem is making them available. So yes this is highly welcomed.
