Having just watched my DVDs of Wagnaria!! season 2 Working'!!, one of Takanashi's older sisters is beautiful and stacked... and a whiny, clingy, codependent drunkard who only shows up on-camera to announce that she's been dumped again. Even in anime, one can be unlucky in love when one is beautiful.
(One would think those would be better traits than "big-breasted" to list in a two-sentence character profile, though.) |
it seems to be the way - though I never seem to see a male character description containing the line "though he has a giant penis he can't seem to fine love." - strange one that.

Almost. That "no X no life" phrase is just really weird to me, and reminds me of all of the other jibberish English the Japanese use, like "my pace." |
What if it really were a satire? What if "No Game, No Life." Was meant to be an ironic title? What better disguise for an incisive commentary on the otaku lifestyle than a blatant, candy-colored panderfest?

Am I the only one seeing a slightly more grown-up Akatsuki (Log Horizon) here?

Man, No Game, No Life looks so beautiful. But I have a feeling the story won't be as great as the visuals.

NGNL is the closest thing we'll ever get to a second season of Mondai-Ji so I am obligated to love it.
Also it might be worth mentioning the author isn't Japanese, is married, and his wife draws the manga adaption.

Does. Not. Compute. |
There's more to women than looks/big boobs.
It's shocking, I know. |
I wish I knew that sooner.

I really hope No Game No Life don't take itself too seriously. That was one of the biggest turn offs when I was watching Mondaiji; people were calling out move names and were generally oblivious of how ridiculous their situations were.

I really hope No Game, No Life doesn't fall into the incest tropes. Really getting tired of it.

Yuu KAMIYA looks like Japanese name to me? Listed as the author of the source material.

That's a penname. He's Brazilian and his real name is Thiago Furukawa Lucas. However his family moved to Japan when he was very young, he doesn't know any Brazilian Portuguese for instance. But he was featured on some Portuguese TV program though.

Yea No Game No Life definitely looks a lot like Problem Children. I hope so. I had a blast with that show.
