Why not? "Transformers: Energon" already mislead us with promises of robot fights, but giving us a whiny teenager instead.

Man, the Autobots randomly showing up would have made 3.33 a lot better.

Eh, SG Optimus Prime is more of a red-purple than the dark violet of Eva-01. Plus he's missing the neon green.
Anyway, I'm all for this. Can't wait to see how they recolor some of the others.

I'm not even an Eva fan, but I'd buy this in a heart beat! Too perfect!

I won't be satisfied unless I see Unicron eating Giant Naked Rei.

Hey the ads tell a more compelling story than what came out in 3.33. Maybe Anno should consult with Takara ? It seems THEY have a clear picture of what EVA is about.

I don't know what to say on this. But I'll say that I never thought I would see Transformers and Evangelion to be in one title . I would've wanted a Transformers and Gundam. |
Irony is that guy who designed Gundam also designed what would be renamed Optimus Prime. There old picture somewhere with the original Gundam and original Optimus Prime side by side with same pose. They're basically the same model after one another.

I never understood why people have a period over angry characters, especially ones that were rightfully so (Kicker, Shinn Asuka, etc), but almost never have a problems when the hero is a crybaby goody goody (Spiderman).

This will be the hardest test yet of the idea that anything can be done well, if it is done right. It seems obvious to me that it was dreamed up by some advertising guy, so I'm betting it won't be done right; but who knows. I know that was how Transformers got started in the first place, and it didn't turn out awful, so there is a slight chance.
I don't know, part of me is still boggled that anybody would ever dream this up. People never cease to amaze me, and maybe that's a good thing. Good luck to 'em, if they can get the rights; I really wonder about that.

Oh please let this be an anime! And I mean an actual series, 13-episodes would be fine and not an OVA special.

Even though Macross would probably be the most plausible crossover idea, I'll still take this since I've had enough of the constant butchering that Transformers went through since Cybertron (Galaxy Force) ended, except for the War for Cybertron and Fall o Cybertron games, those were great.
Not saying Transformers didn't get butchered before then, but it's been consecutive as of late. |
What about "Animated" or "Prime?" Or were you one of those fanboys that judged the series for how it looked and ignored it?
