Might be great, so long as it has a good focus on a story and real emotions, and not on bullshit teenage melodrama with an unsatisfying end, much like another WatanabexKannoxMAPPA anime I know.

And why would Terror in Resonance (I do not like this name by the way) focus on teenage drama? The premise of the new anime is very different from KotS. Just because Watanabe, Kanno and MAPPA are involved does not mean they are going to make another Kids on the Slope.

Never underestimate the power of teenage drama to drag an otherwise great series down, like DRRR's second half. It can strike from anywhere, without warning.

Aniplex had no involvement in From the New World. Aired on Asahi published by Pony Canyon. I think there is a misconception that all A-1 studio involvement points back to Aniplex. Crunchyroll seems to be listing the TV networks that these shows aired on I'm assuming that that is who they go through to acquire the streaming rights.

To be fair, A-1 Studios is an Aniplex subsidiary.

Crunchyroll doesn't simply list the TV network as the publisher. For example, none of the following are networks:

Aniplex (http://www.crunchyroll.com/publisher/Aniplex)
Kadokawa (http://www.crunchyroll.com/publisher/kadokawapictures)
King Records (http://www.crunchyroll.com/publisher/KingRecords)
Showgate (http://www.crunchyroll.com/publisher/Showgate)

Murder, She wrote:

In an alternate version of the present, Tokyo has been decimated by a shocking terrorist attack, and the only hint to the identity of the culprit is a bizarre video uploaded to the internet. The police, baffled by this cryptic clue, are powerless to stop the paranoia spreading across the population.

While the world searches for a criminal mastermind to blame for this tragedy, two mysterious children – children who shouldn't even exist – masterfully carry out their heinous plan. Cursed to walk through this world with the names Nine and Twelve, the two combine to form “Sphinx,”

Sphinx!

That's Number Twenty-One when Nine and Twelve combine.
(See, I already solved the cryptic clue! Laughing )

Dunno...... Geo-politically, a terrorist attack on Japan wouldn't really concern the rest of the world too much......... A state attack on the other hand...........

Maybe that should be a consumer's warning on the dvd package lol.

I am so far pretty hyped for this. I think, given the preview, it looks pretty interesting and it sounds like it could be a pretty good series. I liked the background and character animation from what I saw. Hopefully the story follows suit and this might just be a nice show. Barring the above mentioned consumer warning anyways heh.

Thanks for posting the link to a trailer working in my country, omiya.

Anyway, from what we can see in the trailer, I think this looks gorgeous. The character designs appeal to me at first sight, big time. I don't really care about the plot or premise (yet), but who cares. I don't really have to read further than Watanabe in order to be sufficiently hyped. Kanno is a very nice bonus, of course. Hopefully, this will show yet a very different side of Watanabe's talent for visual storytelling. Summer is looking very promising indeed.

You're welcome - I did email [email protected] about the clip being blocked in Australia and sent them the URL of the earlier Japanese trailer. Usually it's some Sony-related company (SMEJ, Aniplex...?) that blocks clips for me.

I haven't really noticed much of what Kanno has done lately besides her 2013 Otakon appearance and Aquarion Evol before that. The only live performances of Kanno songs that I have seen have been without Yoko Kanno:

Animelo Summer Live 2011:

Kindan no Elixir / May'n (Macross Frontier Movie OP)

Animelo Summer Live 2012:

Paradoxical Zoo / AKINO with Bless4 (Aquarion Evol OP)
Kimi no Shinwa -Aquarion dai ni Shou- / AKINO with Bless4 (Aquarion Evol OP)
Sousei no Aquarion! / AKINO with Bless4 + Kanako Ito (Sousei no Aquarion OP)

Diamond Crevasse / May'n (Macross Frontier ED)

Animelo Summer Live 2013:

Iteza Gogo☆Kyuji Don´t be Late / May'n (Macross F IN)

Animax Musix 2013:

Universal Bunny / May'n
リーベ~幻の光 / May'n

It would be good if Yoko Kanno could do some more concerts.

Hopefully this series will have some music that will inspire further live performances.
