So they finally pried the rights from FOX? 'Cus it took a while for them to pick it up this time. I'm not a DB guy, but seeing this one seems like a fun experience, so I might bite. Though I hope it's not that Fathom shit.
Nonaka: If DB made early 2000s Pokemon money in the U.S., then of course it'd go wider.

I hope they'll play it in Japanese with subtitles in theaters, too, not just the English version.

What be the point? the Japanese ver is something anyone can see and this is for NA we are lucky it's coming to theaters at all

Huh? We're actually going to get a US release of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods? I thought Fox was holding it for ransom.
While I'm on the subject, YAY! Now I can't forget about the turd sandwich that was the Dragon Ball movie.

Nice, I would go see it, but judging by past experiences, I doubt it will come to any theaters near here.
Although I think that plot description of Funi's makes the antagonist out to be far more malevolent than he actually is.

They probably were, which is why it took so long. If FUNi just had to go through Toei, they'd be bringing this over a lot sooner. Wouldn't be surprised if they had to pay FOX a cut of the home vid sales, too.

FOX's logo is still in that trailer, so they're involved on some level, even if it's just sub-licensing out to FUNi.
