Each season had material of two light novels. So the first and second season went novel 4- maybe five. But there are 18 light novels now. So I think they should just bring out two episodes a week until the catch up with the novels.

Hallelujah! I love the novels and think that the anime has, so far, done a superb job on adapting them. I'm so glad that we're getting more "Boosta!: The Animation"

If you want to use the strictest definition everything has plot, even a film/anime about nothing would have a plot, nothing.
But Queen's Blade has some really loose and low level plot about some ongoing tournament, but that is just a cover to put a bunch female characters into highly suggestive yuri settings.

Yeah, but it still has a plot. Your argument is more along the lines of having a superficial and non-engaging story. Saying something has no plot is almost always wrong, and I will argue these semantics until the cowgirls come home.

there is also queens blade as well as strike witches if you like highschool dxd.
though what i was really hoping is that there would actually be a new season of toaru no majustu index as well as toaru kagaku no railgun. sure its not uber fanservice labeled like HSDxD but it have its moments. |
How did you get to QB and SW from DxD? One is a show with zero plot, and given the context of him actually liking DxD despite it being a fan service show, QB is the absolutely worst recommendation possible. The other is loli fest, which could probably turn off a lot of people, and as Koneko is the only Loli that has played prominently so far, and really only as a background character, I don't think that SW is a good recommendation. |
Actually my aspect is downright accurate. also FYI , otakus who like the over the top fanservice series still like loli which is why koneko and that other character from DxD new are there. sure its no SW, but both have decent storylines.

exactely. which is why most people enjoy QB over other fanservice series that dont have them at all like Knights of Ramunes. if you want to talk about a series that have zero of those stuff , its that.
also its animation is definitely High Quality.
though it have to be expected from ARMS Studios who was back in the late 90's and early 2000's was mainly behind HQ hentai series like another lady innocent as well as some infamous series like Kite & Mezzo Forte.
However D's dubbing is definitely more superior than QB's dub. especially in the english version which i am pretty sure everyone agrees.

This is good news and all, but why wont they make a 3rd season of sekerei, after the second season, you are left with nothing but questions.

DxD got a season 3 before Index? I'm happy and sad at the same time.

I agree. It's false to label any anime as having no plot. You can judge the quality of a plot in a story all you want, but that just falls under subjectivity. Some people think Queen's Blade's, or any fanservice anime in general, have stupid plots. But other people, including myself, do not. It's all subjective.

It's just Aniplex being Aniplex. Don't quote me on this, but I had heard that Aniplex were trying to focus on their bigger name titles like Madoka before continuing their smaller titles, namely Sekirei.
But I feel the same, I wish a 3rd season of Sekirei could be produced faster.

I couldn't agree with you more, as a matter of fact, while Queen's Blade is plenty salacious in the ecchi department, it manages to also be more ambitious on a narrative and thematic level utilizing allegory, character motives and interactions.
Aside from having exceptionally well-written and developed characters, Queen’s Blade deals with many of the same themes as Revolutionary Girl Utena; self-actualization and awareness, coming of age, loss of innocence, conforming to expectations and duality. Many of these themes start to get established early on in the first half of the series with them becoming more prevalent and upfront during the second half.
Queen's Blade demonstrates, with some good effort, ambition and adhering to the fundamentals of storytelling, that even a series with heavy eroticism can still be a genuinely good show. Is it for everybody? Absolutely not, but then again, nothing is for everybody.
On topic though, I have seen the first season of High School DxD and I very much enjoyed it. The pacing alone is commendable, but the world and myth building, it just kept me interested right to the end.
I haven't watched the second season yet, but I hear Funimation are supposedly releasing it early next year; so if that's the case it's as good as pre-ordered.
Now there's this third season in the works, which is great, I just hope this doesn't turn into an uber long marathon show with 600 episodes.

The hype is real. Hype would be even bigger if it was Index that got season 3 instead.

The fact that so many people could sit there and try to say with a straight face the queens blade is anything but a male fantasy soft core porn, shows that people will buy or believe anything.
The wiki description - Queen's Blade (Japanese: クイーンズブレイド Hepburn: Kuīnzu Bureido?) is a series of visual combat books published by Hobby Japan based on the licensed works from Firelight Game Company's Lost Worlds. First published in 2005, it features sexually suggestive depictions of an exclusively female cast of characters. (There is particular emphasis on the large breasts of many of the contestants.) The overall plot of the game revolves around a tournament called the Queen's Blade, which is held once every four years to determine a Queen.
Oh wow so the story is a tournament, which one of the most derided types of story arcs there are.
I don't particularly care that you like QB, I just think you are intentionally misleading some when you suggest they are similar works.
