Well if there weren't a bunch of bad guys threatening to destroy the world all the time and things were peaceful I'd love to have Goku as a dad. He's so chill and laid back. He'd be a lot of fun to be around. Plus as someone mentioned I'd love to have saiyan dna and be able to fly and junk

I think that in Goku's defense, he at least was able to spend more time with his sons than Minato did with Naruto. From that angle, Goku is likely a better father. |

Out of the top 5, I only know Goku, Kirito and Akio. Akio would be my pick of those 3.
A recent dad that I wouldn't mind having as my own would be Raku Ichijo's dad (did they ever say his name?). Aside from Raku's dad, Goku and Akio...I don't think I've really seen many dads in anime or, at least, none that made an impression on me. And, I mean characters that are actually fathers, rather than someone like Kirito who just kind of takes care of a kid for awhile. It's hard to make some picks myself, as I haven't noticed many anime dads in series I've watched. So I'm down to who may turn out to be a good dad. Sadao Maou might make a decent dad? I mean, look at how responsible he is at his crappy job. Think he'd be pretty responsible with a kid. Silver Spoon's Hachiken could make a good one. |

No, no. GING is the worst father in anime history. Goku, even in his absence. *Motivated Gohan to not be afraid *Entrusted Piccolo (the biggest asshole in the beginning) to push him and set his mind straight *Train his powers to the point of surpassing even HIM Hell, he STILL displayed his fatherly antics with pan. shit was heart-warming. |

Goku was an ok father {not a deadbeat dad, just a dead dad} until Goku actively choose to be dead {...again...} which just happened to be before Goten was born. Who'd I most want as an anime dad? Nobuyuki from Tenchi Muyo. Consider it, won't you? |
