Yes really. I was close to dropping the first series but she and Ral kept it just interesting enough to keep going until things got better.

Their loss. Doesn't change the fact that Build Fighters was pure crap. Or rather, it went into territories it didn't need to, thereby turning what could have been a good, oh sorry, BETTER show, into something so silly even by Gundam sci-fi standards.

It's pretty ironic. TopGunman gets mad at people who complain about Gundam Age. To the point of trying to pull the "you never watched the show". He then usually will throw in Gundam fandom commentary about how the fans do nothing but complain about the shows.
Then he does the thing he complains about others doing.

Great, another Gundam show that's not about people who actually pilot mobile suits. Because that's what I'm looking for out of a Gundam series. Watching people build models and play Skylanders with them.

I know, right?
Maybe if they had a more traditional Gundam show airing in the same season and maybe if they were adapting... oh I don't know... say Gundam the Origin into some movies it wouldn't be so bad. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to make do.

Great, another Gundam show that's about people who actually enjoy Gundam. Because that's what I'm looking for out of a Gundam Series. Watching people enjoy Gundams and play with them.

No no no, the biggest crime an anime can commit is to be enjoyable.
We wouldn't want that. We want war, misery, suffering. Now that's what Gundam's all about.
It's a pity this series as fun as it is is not being dubbed in english while "shudder" Space Dandy is.
