You seem to have no problem lumping the west as one thing, so I'm not sure why'd you complain.
WiiU sales are still crappy even with software that Japanese fans may want. The PS3 only sold modestly with games Japanese fans want. The 360 had plenty of Japanese games and in the end did nothing. Why would you even use this as a comparison. It's only doing a bit better. Which is pathetic when you realize it's been out far longer and has a steady steam of software that supposed to appeal to Japanese fans. The 3Ds hardware sales are nowhere near as good as the DS and are at this point rather stagnate. The Vita has only recently moved out of being a failure. It's not a simple "if there's games people want they'll buy them". Yes consoles can sell if there's game, but only decently. Consoles are doing far weaker then they were years ago and that's a fact. |

This generation I don't expect consoles to sell as many as last generation globally. Last gen was when consoles truly moved beyond just gamers. This gen, there's just too many other devices people can use for their fun.
