Okay. What got me confused was this special having a brief preview for the next episode despite Eden and Labyrinth being on different pages in the encyclopedia.

After all that it's no wonder Yuuji's personality is so twisted. Wonder how the girls will react upon learning about it.

Luckily? He'd have been better off as an only child, in more ways than one.

Considering they seemingly went through a childhood trauma checklist, I think he'd have been better off being orphan from birth. The only thing they missed was a dead pet.

I know, but it was just the suggestion that she was his savior when she was molesting him and controlling his social life that pegged my wtf meter. "I'm the only one you can trust, so always do what I say and I'll always love you" types creep me out. She's not that much different from Oslo.

Oh, I know I just went further with your reaction.
I have to guess that that type of behaviour would be appealing for the vn crowd. That scene was portrayed as more titillating than disturbing.

Eden episode 1:
Decent episode overall. The relationship between Asako and Yuuji is quite something and I think it's definitely someone that can change his life quite a bit with all the shit that went down during his childhood already. Kinda sad about the dog dying though as it was one of the few friends he has made in this series.
Edit: oh I noticed the food Asako was cooking. LOL, oh God.

So. . . Asako said Yuuji's allowed to die once he rescues/saves 5 people's lives; since we've witness him help/save/whatever the 5 girls in Kajitsu, does this mean he's allowed to die now?

Probably. I was definitely laughing when they introduced the dog, since it was so obvious how that was going to end. I'm not sure if that was the desired reaction, though.

didn't see the bear coming. My assumption was him having an another panic attack and accidentally killing John himself

Is this whole cour going to be about Yuuji's backstory (and maybe resolving his sister's fate)? If so, I'm on board, since this is already far more interesting than any of the girls' stories.

Eden (season 2), Episode 1
I said in my summary of the first season that a second season could really push this series forward, and so far it really is. Yuuji's past says quite a lot about him, and kind of has relevance to the other arcs.
The two main ones I can think of is with Michiru and dead cat, along with bonding with Makina in sharpshooting. And the helping 5 civilians matches the girls at the school.

Good episode. It was fun seeing JB act all girly and flustered. How come I didn't realize how attractive she is during the first season? And did they pronounce "roger" as "ranger"?
